Israeli fire kills at least 11 Palestinians in Gaza, hospital officials say

Israeli forces have killed at least 11 Palestinians in Gaza, local hospital officials have said.

Those killed included two 13-year-old boys, three journalists and a woman.

It was one of the deadliest days in the enclave since a ceasefire began in October.

Palestinian health officials said an Israeli airstrike killed three Palestinian journalists who were filming near a displaced persons camp in central Gaza.

Israel's military said troops had identified "several suspects who operated a drone affiliated with Hamas".

"Following the identification and due to the threat that the drone posed to the troops, the IDF precisely struck the suspects who activated the drone," the ‌military said.

The Palestinian Journalists Syndicate said the journalists killed "were carrying out a humanitarian, journalistic mission to film and document the suffering of civilians in displacement ‌camps." It did not say if they were using a drone in their filming.

In another attack, three people including a 10-year-old boy were killed by an Israeli tank shelling in central Gaza, medics said.

Two others, including a 13-year-old boy, were killed in two shootings in Khan Younis in the south, health officials said.

Three more Palestinians were killed in other Israeli attacks across Gaza, the health ministry said.

Israel's military did not immediately comment on the other incidents.

More than 470 Palestinians killed since ceasefire began

More than 470 Palestinians have been killed since the start of the ceasefire in October, according to Gaza's Hamas-run health ministry.

More than 100 children were among those killed, the ministry said. Its casualty records are generally seen as reliable by UN agencies and independent experts.

Both Israel and Hamas have blamed each other for breaching the ceasefire after two years of war, which has left Gaza devastated and caused a humanitarian disaster.

They disagree on the next steps of US President Donald Trump's 20-point peace plan.
